Thank You!

Class 5-306 and Families,
Thank you so much for your generous gift on my last day of school. Your kindness warmed my heart. I hope you had a wonderful Spring Break and enjoyed the gorgeous weather in Brooklyn. I look forward to seeing all of you very soon.
Love,
Mrs. Greller

Green-Wood Cemetery

The students of 5-306 had the pleasure of meeting Steve, the incredible storyteller from Green-Wood Cemetery. We heard so many fascinating stories about people buried in the cemetery and the cemetery itself. The kids can't wait to go back in May!

The Gold Rush

Class 5-306 has been studying Westward Expansion and the Gold Rush. Students learned about California's first millionaire, the savvy Samuel Brannan. Did he become a millionaire by mining for gold? No! When he learned of California's discovery, he bought all the mining supplies he could get his hands on and sold them for absurd prices. With that, he became absurdly rich!

Students also spent time becoming experts on a Gold Rush topic and then taught the class about it. They did a great job!
