Amazon Wish List and Donations

I have created an Amazon Wish List based on the Book Requests list in our classroom. I wish I could buy every book on the list, but I've already spent all of my PTA money on books, books, and more books. The 5th graders just LOVE to read! If you have any books to donate from your home or would like to take a look at our Amazon List, that would be amazing and greatly appreciated.

Reading Entries

~ Reading entries are assigned 1-2 days per week.

~ Students should be writing their entries 15-20 minutes, and they should reflect the work we're doing in class (developing theories, setting significance, character influence, theme, etc).

~ Entries should be written about the current book the student is reading.

~ Students have been collecting entry samples to refer to for support.

~ If an entry is not completed, it should be made up before the next reading entry is due.

~Entries are checked for completion each week. Class notebooks are collected for close readings and feedback about every four weeks. Students are expected to read the feedback and apply any recommendations to their future entries.
